About Roscoe’s Rascals
I will introduce my favorite dance team, Roscoe’s Rascals.
They are Los Angeles-based Vintage dance team formed in 1993.
They are Coast Swing, Lindy-Hop, Salsa, Mambo, Balboa,
Shag, Waltz, Tango, Country Western, Disco.
As an instructor at the World Famous Derby and Merv Griffin's Coconut Club,
Kevin "Roscoe" Farnsworth has remained at the forefront
of the L.A. swing scene for the past several years.
His choreography has been featured in "ER,"
"The Young and the Restless" and in national commercials.
Collectively members of the Rascals dance team instruct
between 1500 - 2000 students per week.
They have released a video called “Cajun Goes to Hollywood”.
Filmed at the Derby, it's full of cartoons, lessons, live music, aerials.
This video is fantastic. Lots of fun!
This video features live performances
by Ron Alan and the Swing Kings with a special performance
of the "C.C. Stomp" song (Ron Alan wrote it exclusively for Roscoe's dance!)
the Rascals signature aerials, and assistant guest instruction by Stacey Suarez.
If you want to join Roscoe’s Rascals, you should visit their event.
You will see live performances and from time to time free group lessons.
